Job Title: Bartender
Department: Food and Beverage
Supervisor: Director of Food and Beverage
Summary: Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to bar patrons by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Takes drink orders from customers and/or servers
- Mixes and serves drinks according to order specifications
- Serves wine and draught or bottled beer
- Performs general cashier duties for the sale of bar food and beverage orders
- Requisitions beer, wine, liquor, and bar supplies
- Arranges bottles and glasses to create attractive displays
- Prepares drink garnishments
- Replenishes bar supplies as needed
- Maintains cleanliness of the bar area
- Sets up, breaks down, and secures bar displays when opening and closing
- Serves patrons in compliance with company, brand, and TABC requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Less than high school education or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: Current Food Handler’s certificate or ServSafe certification required. Current TABC (TX) or RVSP (LA) license is required.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with two-digit numbers and use American money, weight, volume, and distance measurements.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of inventory software is preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms.
- Frequently required to walk.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell.
- Must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
