Title: Bartender - Hotel Valencia Riverwalk

Location: San Antonio, TX 78205 Position Type: Full Time Salary: $10.00/hour

Join our award-winning team at Valencia Hotel Collection, where modern design meets classic character. We seek a professional and friendly Bartender to provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests at our hotel bar and lounge.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
Greet guests promptly, take accurate orders, and ensure timely delivery
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
Upsell food and beverage items to increase sales
Handle cash and operate POS systems with accuracy, including following proper discounting and tip policies
Verify guest identification to comply with alcohol service laws
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experience
Attend training sessions and team meetings
Follow safety and hygiene standards, including wearing non-slip footwear
Perform opening, shift, and closing procedures, including bar setup and breakdown

Requirements:

Previous bartending experience, preferably in a hotel or upscale environment
Strong mixology skills and knowledge of a wide variety of cocktails and beverages
Possession of TABC and Food Handler certifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Professional appearance and demeanor
Effective multitasking and problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, reaching, and light lifting
