Job Description
Job Title: Bartender
Location: Brian Head, UT 84719 Salary: $7.50 per hour
Join our team at one of Southern Utah's premier mountain destinations. As a Bartender at our skier's lodge, you will provide a warm welcome to guests after a day on the slopes by crafting cocktails, pouring cold drafts, and maintaining a lively mountain lodge atmosphere. You will work alongside a dedicated hospitality team in a beautiful and energetic setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and consistently
- Greet and engage guests, creating a warm après-ski environment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system
- Verify guest age and comply with Utah DABS regulations and responsible alcohol service laws
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
- Assist with opening and closing bar duties, including inventory counts
- Contribute to a positive team culture in a high-energy, high-altitude environment
Qualifications:
- At least 21 years of age
- 1–2 years of bartending or bar-back experience in a hotel, lodge, or restaurant setting
- Current Utah TIPS certification or equivalent, or willingness to obtain before start date
- Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, beer styles, and basic wine knowledge
- Strong communication and guest service skills: friendly, professional, and quick-thinking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays during peak ski season
- Reliable and punctual with a team-first attitude
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
