Massanutten Resort
Job Summary The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, including greeting, taking food and beverage orders, answering questions, providing information about the resort and surrounding areas, preparing alcoholic beverages, and serving tickets. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area and performing any other duties assigned by management while following company safety and sanitation policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of standard cocktail recipes and preparation
- Knowledge of beer and wine pairings
- Understanding of and adherence to ABC regulations and policies
- Must be at least 21 years old
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous serving and/or bartending experience
Typical Schedule:
- Schedule varies weekly
- Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Hours vary depending on operational needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests
- Prepare alcoholic beverage orders and serve tickets
- Enforce ABC policies and regulations
- Upsell products when possible
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Process payments accurately using the point of sale system
- Ensure proper rotation of stock including beer, wine, and mixers
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
