Job Title: Bartender
Location: Quechee, VT – The Mill Position Type: Part-Time Salary: $14.00 per hour Category: Restaurant - Food Service
Position Summary: The Bartender is responsible for delivering high-quality beverage production and service to guests. Candidates should be organized, capable of quick thinking, and maintain composure in a busy environment. This role includes working at both the restaurant service bar and the main bar.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand and comply with Vermont State liquor laws.
- Greet guests warmly and professionally.
- Communicate clearly and enthusiastically with guests, making them feel appreciated.
- Collaborate with all Simon Pearce staff to ensure efficient food and beverage service.
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistently, following standard recipes.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately, balancing the register.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs attentively.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, including trash removal, table cleaning, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Legal age to serve alcohol according to state law.
- 2-3 years bartending experience at a full-service bar preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and familiarity with standard drink recipes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
