Job Description
Title: Bartender
Supervisor: Bar Manager Department: Bar
Position Summary: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food, beer, and mixed drinks to customers. May provide table service as needed.
Job Relationships:
- Responsible To: Guests, Bar Manager
- Employees Supervised: Bar backs and other servers
- Inter-Relationships: Collaborate closely with Bar Manager and other café/bar staff to enhance guest experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve guests promptly and courteously
- Prepare bar for opening
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Stock supplies as needed
- Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness
- Keep accurate cash counts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid Washington State Health Card and WSLCB Class 12 Mixologist permit required
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Ability to positively interact with guests and co-workers
Environmental Factors:
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs or more
- Working near hot dishwashers and kitchen equipment
- Stair climbing
- Guest-facing position
