Title: Bartender

Position Overview: Bartenders serve curated beverages to guests and assist in all front-of-house (FOH) operations, including running food and drinks, clearing tables, and greeting guests. They uphold core values by connecting professionally with guests to ensure excellent service.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly with a smile and eye contact
Provide exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure
Serve alcoholic beverages only to guests over 21; check IDs without exception and involve management if needed
Control alcohol consumption to prevent over-intoxication
Follow service expectations outlined in the manual
Know and prepare classic and popular cocktails, including ingredients, brands, flavor profiles, and allergens
Set up and maintain the bar station to standard for busy service periods
Perform regular bar maintenance such as crumbing, refilling waters, clearing and resetting serving ware
Operate the POS system efficiently
Know table and section numbers
Communicate with hosts about bar flow
Keep bar lab clean and organized
Clean and polish glassware and silverware
Ensure mise trays are stocked
Use tact and good judgment handling guest concerns
Recognize intoxicated patrons and alert management
Report guest complaints promptly and follow complaint procedures
Review internal communications before each shift
Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
Assist coworkers as needed
Complete other duties as assigned

Additional Duties:

Collaborate with Head Bartender to improve procedures
Manage gift certificate transactions
Participate in staff training and ongoing education
Promote a safe, clean environment
Take regular bar tests and quizzes to support growth
Assist in training new hires
Build relationships with regular guests and community members
Represent the company professionally on and off premises
Follow all company policies and procedures

Physical Demands:

Requires seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, standing or sitting 4 to 8 hours, bending, and intermittent movement. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Qualifications:

Proven bartender experience in a reputable establishment
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Attention to detail and consistency in beverage quality
Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and staff meetings
Patience, adaptability, self-motivation, and teamwork
High ethics, strong work ethic, and a good sense of humor

Desired Qualifications:

3-5 years bartending experience in a high-volume setting
Extensive knowledge of craft cocktails, spirits, ingredients, and techniques
Strong personality to create memorable guest experiences

Compensation and Benefits:

$21.30/hour plus a percentage of the full-house tip pool based on hours worked
