Bartender - Restaurant

We are seeking a Bartender to contribute to the hotel's success by delivering superior guest service and maintaining high-quality standards in our food and beverage operations.

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service by preparing drinks according to industry standards, promoting specials, and handling food and beverage orders.
Serve as an ambassador for Coast Hotels by greeting guests, making them feel welcome, and addressing inquiries related to your area of expertise.
Handle cash, cheque, credit, and debit card transactions in accordance with hotel policies; verify all credit cards and room charges.
Monitor guest satisfaction and follow up on requests as appropriate.
Ensure the safety and security of the property, staff, and guests while performing duties.
Maintain inventory and stock supplies.
Demonstrate a customer-service attitude with both internal and external contacts.
Perform opening and closing duties, keep the bar clean and organized, and balance monies and charges.
Adhere to quality and industry standards.
Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

Secondary school diploma.
Industry-specific certifications such as FOODSAFE and Serving It Right.
Hepatitis A vaccination is recommended.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Minimum of one year experience in a similar position.
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training is an asset.
Experience with Squirrel POS is an asset.
Cash handling experience is an asset.
Knowledge of products and facility in area of expertise.
Additional bartender-related certifications such as Bartender emerit are an asset.
