Title: Bartender

Overview The Screaming Yak is currently hiring full-time and part-time bartenders. Night and weekend availability is required. The Screaming Yak is a locally owned establishment known for great food, drinks, and a fun atmosphere.

We seek staff who are kind, friendly, and a bit sassy. Candidates should be dedicated, proud to serve quality food and drinks, and committed to providing excellent service.

Our menu is Jack Daniels-centric with lunch and dinner service daily, plus breakfast on weekends.

Wage

Pay rate: $17.13 per hour
Tips earned

Responsibilities/Duties

Follow all company policies and procedures
Attend work punctually and participate in meetings
Take customer orders and payments accurately, following service guidelines
Upsell by suggesting specials, promotions, and events
Deliver and announce food and beverages efficiently and enthusiastically
Accommodate special guest requests
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Resolve issues courteously and promptly
Check with customers during their visit to ensure satisfaction and address concerns
Maintain knowledge of menu items, promotions, ingredients, and preparation times
Assist team members as needed
Complete all opening, running, closing duties and side work
Adhere to health, safety, alcohol service, and sanitation standards

Skills/Experience

Washington State Food Worker Card (WSFWC) required
Washington State MAST/Class 12 or 13 certification required
One year of previous restaurant service experience preferred
Flexible availability including weekends
Strong listening and customer service skills
Reliable with strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to multitask efficiently
Team player with courteous, friendly, professional demeanor
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
