Job Description
Minnesuing Acres (The Lodge) is a secluded business retreat and event center located in northwestern Wisconsin on Lake Minnesuing. Our 35-room facility offers large meeting spaces, a delectable menu, and a variety of year-round indoor and outdoor activities.
We are seeking a part-time bartender to join our exceptional team. This position involves working behind the bar in both indoor and outdoor settings, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing excellent customer service and creating a positive, fun atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage guests in a timely and friendly manner
- Verify IDs as required by law
- Pour beer, wine, and other beverages accurately
- Mix traditional and creative cocktails, making suggestions based on guest preferences
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked
- Sanitize all bar surfaces at the end of each shift and maintain cleanliness throughout
- Return inventory to locked cabinets after each shift
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Prior experience in hospitality or food and beverage preferred
- Bartending certification preferred; training provided if needed
- Knowledge of bartending techniques and applicable laws
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
- Flexible availability including nights, holidays, and weekends
- Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds
