Position: Bartender Department: Food and Beverage Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager / Sales Manager Location: On-site at Marshall Health Network Arena and Convention Center, Huntington, WV

Role Summary: The Bartender is responsible for providing high-quality customer service during events to ensure guest satisfaction and accurate handling of all transactions and bar inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up, stock, and service individual beverage stations and portable bars
Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with approved recipes and prices
Handle cash, tickets, and credit card transactions accurately
Verify cash and liquor inventory with supervisors
Enforce all liquor laws and request identification for alcohol purchases
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of bar and work area
Remove trash and recyclables during and at the end of shifts
Follow safety practices and comply with all food and beverage policies
Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years old
Experience working in a high-volume bar environment
Basic math skills for cash handling
Knowledge of cash register operation and bar procedures
Pleasant personality and professional appearance
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs to waist level
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to follow directions and work well with others
Proficient in English (verbal and reading) to communicate and understand safety policies

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to move around the facility and stand for long periods
May work indoors or outdoors depending on event requirements
