Job Description
Title: Bartender
Location: Lander, WY 82520 Department: Bar Reports To: Bar Manager Salary: $12 Plus Tips Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary: The Bartender is responsible for performing various duties in the fast-paced bar area of the casino. This includes greeting guests, completing transactions, preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory, and cleaning stock areas. All tasks must be performed according to the Bar Manager's direction and departmental policies. Must be at least 21 years old to work in the bar area.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests in a friendly manner.
- Check bars and tables for cleanliness and proper setup before seating.
- Answer questions and make beverage suggestions.
- Take and prepare beverage orders, handle payments, and process transactions using POS systems.
- Stock and restock bar supplies as needed.
- Assist with monthly inventory and purchasing preparations.
- Follow all alcohol serving regulations and departmental policies.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Cash handling skills and basic math proficiency.
- Current and maintained TIPS bartender certification.
- Ability to supervise other employees as needed.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to noise, flashing lights, secondhand smoke, and varying temperatures.
- Fast-paced casino environment including crowds.
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor in line with company standards.
Physical Demands:
- Extended periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Regular use of computers and POS systems.
