Title: Bartender

Description: The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and organized bar. This role requires strong knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits to make recommendations, along with excellent customer service skills and attention to detail to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and take drink and food orders promptly.
Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
Maintain strong knowledge of food and beverage menus to provide recommendations and upsell premium products.
Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest consumption and following all local laws and hotel policies.
Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally and resolve issues quickly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar including counters, sinks, shelves, and glassware.
Restock liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, mixers, and supplies during shifts.
Properly handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS system functions.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory counts and end-of-shift reports.
Collaborate with servers, barbacks, and food & beverage team members to ensure smooth service.
Change kegs, replace CO2 tanks, and ensure beverages are served properly.
Prepare garnishes by cutting fruit and stocking condiments.
Replenish and maintain clean, sanitary ice bins.
Collect empty glasses, bottles, and trash from bar and surrounding areas.
Clean and polish glassware, utensils, and bar tools.
Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines.
Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment.
Maintain professionalism with coworkers and guests.
Other duties as assigned, which may include preparation and clean-up of bar food items, rotation of food products, and kitchen sanitation depending on F&B department needs.

Requirements:

Previous bartending experience required.
Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine.
Ability to obtain required alcohol beverage and/or food service certifications as required by local ordinances.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Willingness to work a varied and flexible schedule including weekends, days, nights, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing and walking; occasional kneeling, bending, and stooping.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 75 pounds as needed.
Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions.
