Job Title: Barback Department: WCR Food and Beverage Reports To: Beverage Manager Salary: $16.00 per hour Position Status: Regular Full-Time, Non-Exempt Hours per Week: 40

Position Description: Under the direction of the Beverage Supervisor and Beverage Leadership team, the Barback is responsible for maintaining the stock and inventory of the casino bars. This includes all ingredients for cocktails and themed beverages such as beer, wine, and spirits. The Barback ensures a clean and organized bar, assists with service at the casino floor bar including wine, cocktails, and beer, and must be cross-trained in cocktail preparation. The position requires working at all casino and resort outlets as needed, maintaining high service standards, and demonstrating the We-Ko-Pa-Way Service Culture.

Essential Duties:

Provide exceptional guest service in accordance with We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards (Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank You and Goodbye).
Manage inventory and stock the fine dining bar daily.
Perform opening and closing side work including preparation and ordering of bar garnishes, fresh juices, mixers, and supplies.
Assist with bar service for the casino floor as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar, coolers, counters, and perform deep cleaning and front-of-house sanitation.
Ensure consistent quality of cocktails, wine, and beer.
Maintain accurate inventory of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail ingredients.
Be knowledgeable of menus, ingredients, allergens, and presentations.
Address food, beverage, or service-related guest issues creatively to maintain satisfaction.
Work on the floor approximately 80% of the time with a hands-on approach.
Comply with health department standards.
Maintain a current Food Handlers Card and DRAM certification or equivalent alcohol safety training.
Complete all restaurant-specific training and SOPs.
Assist with banquet and catering events.
Ensure restaurant menus are accurate and free of debris.
Follow all health and safety guidelines for full compliance.
Lift over 50 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds.
Obtain and maintain required State/Tribal Licenses, including background checks.
Pass pre-employment drug testing.

Work Conditions:

Require bending, reaching, standing, and walking for 34-66% of the workday.
Frequent eye/hand coordination.
Exposure to hot/cold temperatures for 34-66% of the workday.
Exposure to dust/smoke for 1-33% of the workday.
Sit for 1-33% of the workday.
Exposure to second-hand smoke and noise daily on the casino floor.

Education and Experience:

Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits required.
Ability to assist in beverage service execution at all times.
Strong communication skills and passion for hospitality.
Self-motivated with attention to detail.
Knowledge of beverage operations preferred.
Previous bar experience preferred.
