Title: Bartender

Job Location: Cahuilla Casino Hotel - Anza, CA 92539 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Education Level: High School diploma or GED preferred

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, the Bartender provides knowledgeable, prompt, friendly, and courteous service of food and beverages to hotel and casino guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Food and Beverage team members to ensure a smoothly and efficiently run operation meeting high customer service standards.
Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all casino guests following department standards.
Take food and beverage orders from guests.
Mix alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages using standard recipes, practicing portion control.
Serve wine, draught, and bottled beer.
Deliver food from the kitchen to guests.
Frequently check on and engage with guests to ensure satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and guest areas, including clearing empty glasses and cleaning spills.
Receive payment from customers promptly and courteously.
Comply with all State, Federal, and Company liquor laws and regulations.
Follow cash control policies and procedures.
Multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
Maintain stocked service areas with necessary supplies.
Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
Work all shifts, including holidays.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum age of 21 years.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills with a professional appearance.
Ability to stand for entire 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work with limited supervision and in multiple areas.
Must speak and read English.
Must maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times while on casino property.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Requires standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching during shifts.
Must wear non-slip shoes.
Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and a non-smoking casino floor.

Additional Information:

Employment is conditional upon passing a pre-employment drug test and obtaining a Cahuilla Gaming License, which includes a background check.
The casino maintains a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
Applicants not fully meeting qualifications may be hired with a formal training plan to be completed within an agreed timeframe.
Failure to complete training will result in termination.
