Title: Bartender

Pay: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour DOE

Position Summary: The Bartender is responsible for delivering the highest quality service to guests and servers while maintaining the resort’s standards of cleanliness and sanitation at the bar.

Essential Functions:

Adhere to the company’s Service Culture – the 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
Participate in all resort-required meetings and trainings.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance, including proper uniform and nametag.
Set up the bar to resort standards and serve guests promptly and efficiently.
Have thorough knowledge of menus and current specials.
Create and recommend various seasonal cocktails to guests.
Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service.
Pre-bus tables by removing soiled dishes after each course.
Operate the P.O.S. system for transactions.
Perform cashier duties, including closing checks and preparing end-of-shift paperwork.
Follow opening and closing procedures and complete side work as assigned.
Handle soiled dishes and linens in designated areas.
Consistently upsell food, beverage, and promotional items.
Deliver food and beverage orders and collect payment.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Abide by all resort policies, safety rules, and state liquor laws.
Serve alcohol in compliance with prescribed procedures, especially to intoxicated guests.
Perform additional duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

Previous bartending experience required.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certifications (per California law) required.

Working Conditions and Schedule:

Primarily AM shifts.
May require more than 40 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Medium physical work: lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical movements such as bending and reaching.
Frequent lifting and carrying of 30 pounds; occasional lifting of 50 pounds with assistance.
