Lead Bartender - Six Peaks

About Six Peaks Grille: Six Peaks Grille is the resort's signature dining experience, featuring elevated mountain cuisine inspired by the Sierra Nevada. The menu offers premium steaks, fresh seafood, handcrafted cocktails, and an award-winning wine selection served in a sophisticated alpine atmosphere overlooking the mountains. Recognized as one of Lake Tahoe's premier dining spots, Six Peaks delivers refined service in a warm mountain setting. Bartenders play a key role in crafting exceptional beverages, engaging guests, and creating memorable evenings.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve handcrafted cocktails, premium spirits, beer, and wine with consistency and attention to detail.
Provide warm, personalized, and professional service.
Recommend wines, cocktails, and beverage pairings to complement menu items.
Maintain expert knowledge of cocktail trends, seasonal ingredients, wines, and spirits.
Ensure compliance with California ABC regulations and responsible alcohol service.
Accurately process orders via POS and handle cash and credit transactions.
Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout shifts.
Monitor inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
Prepare fresh garnishes, syrups, mixers, and specialty ingredients.
Follow sanitation standards and food safety procedures.
Collaborate with servers, culinary staff, and management to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Foster a fun, energetic atmosphere while maintaining professionalism during high-volume periods.

Qualifications:

Previous bartending experience in upscale restaurants, hotels, resorts, or high-volume bars preferred.
Strong knowledge of classic and craft cocktails, beer, wine, and premium spirits.
Wine knowledge and food pairing experience highly desirable.
Excellent guest service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Must be at least 21 years old.
California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification or ability to obtain prior to employment.
Food Handler Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak resort seasons.
