Job Description
Title: Bartender
Location: SHSO - Oxnard, CA 93036 Salary: $16.90 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized, friendly service to guests with a cheerful and courteous demeanor.
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Make recommendations and upsell beverages.
- Create and serve beverages according to house standards.
- Process cash and charge transactions accurately.
- Stock the bar area with garnishments, mixers, ice, and supplies.
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with stocking beverages and mixes.
- Close checks and run end-of-shift reports.
- Maintain cleanliness of bar tables, chairs, stools, and counters.
- Adhere to food safety requirements.
- Report missing or damaged equipment to supervisor.
- Support other team members and departments as needed.
- Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" guest experience.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year previous bartending experience preferred.
- English speaking or bilingual.
- Ability to operate cash register and perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and exercise good judgment.
- Dependable with a strong focus on safety and security.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs unassisted.
- Comfortable with repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and exposure to cleaning agents.
