The Barback provides support to the bar before, during, and after service. This role is responsible for maintaining stock levels, cleanliness, and organization of the bar area at all times to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all bar garnishes.
- Set up juice stations and make fresh juices according to recipe specifications.
- Label and date all perishable items to ensure freshness.
- Ice and maintain wells throughout the service.
- Maintain cleanliness of bar tops, glassware, juices, and garnishes during shifts.
- Restock beer, wine, and liquor as needed.
- Assist bartenders and baristas with various tasks.
- Remove trash from the bar area and replace liners.
- Clear dirty glassware and dishes back to the dish pit.
- Organize and store bar deliveries.
- Help break down and clean the bar after service.
- Restock liquor cages and coolers.
- Adhere to Nobu Next Step service standards.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid Food Handler Card required.
- Ability to prepare juices accurately following recipe and mixing techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Capable of performing physical tasks related to bar operations.
