Bar Manager

Location: Yountville, CA

Estate Yountville, located in the heart of Napa Valley, features two luxury hotels surrounded by vineyards, Michelin-star restaurants, and stunning views. Our 22-acre property offers nearly 200 rooms and suites, providing an exceptional Wine Country experience.

Job Summary The Bar Manager oversees daily food and beverage operations across Estate Yountville’s lobby bars, poolside outlets, and in-room dining. This role ensures Forbes Travel Guide service standards are consistently met while delivering exemplary guest experiences. Responsibilities include staff leadership, menu execution, operational excellence, and financial performance, with a focus on beverage innovation and elevated hospitality.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of food and beverage services across all outlets, ensuring seamless execution.
Lead, mentor, and train team members to uphold Forbes Travel Guide standards.
Collaborate with culinary and beverage teams to design and deliver creative menus reflecting Napa Valley influences.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
Oversee ordering, inventory, and cost control to meet financial goals while maintaining quality.
Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
Conduct service audits and training focused on wine knowledge, mixology, and food pairing.
Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
Support special events, promotions, and seasonal offerings in collaboration with F&B leadership.
Maintain highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in all outlets.
Drive continuous improvement of service processes to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field strongly preferred.
3–5 years of leadership experience in food and beverage operations.
Strong knowledge of food service operations, wine, spirits, and luxury guest expectations.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse F&B team.
Financial acumen including budgeting, labor management, and cost control.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure, resolve conflicts, and maintain professionalism.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift, carry, or move up to 30 lbs (e.g., beverage cases, equipment).
Manual dexterity to oversee bar and food operations.
Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor service areas, including poolside.
Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
