Position: Wine Bar Manager - Winter 2026-27 (Full-Time Seasonal) Location: The Little Nell, Aspen
Position Summary: The Wine Bar Manager oversees daily restaurant and bar operations, ensuring excellent guest service, efficient staff management, and proper execution of service standards. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and maintaining high levels of food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. The position reports to the Bar Manager.
Pay Range: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour, dependent on budget and experience. Application Deadline: August 16, 2026
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff to ensure exceptional guest service and efficient operations
- Train, motivate, and provide feedback to staff to maintain high service standards
- Oversee daily activities including guest seating, order taking, and food delivery
- Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and presentation meet standards
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain employee records including schedules, time off requests, tip sheets, and Personnel Action Forms
- Collaborate with kitchen to ensure timely and accurate food preparation
- Monitor staff performance and assist with evaluations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setup, cleanup, cash handling, and payment processing
- Conduct daily pre-meal meetings and tastings with Chef and Restaurant Manager to ensure staff knowledge of food, menus, beverages, and wine
- Maintain high guest satisfaction and take corrective actions when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum four years of experience in food service, with at least two years in a supervisory role preferred
- CMS 1 certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service, food preparation, and sanitation
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
- Ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management software
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Work conditions may include wet, hot, and humid environments, and walking on slippery or uneven surfaces
