Title: Banquet Bartender

Position Purpose & Summary: The Banquet Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drinks at the bar for servers to provide to members and guests.

Essential Functions:

Prepare and be knowledgeable of standard drinks, liquors, and wines specific to the restaurant bar.
Mix drinks for servers according to standard recipes.
Maintain familiarity with the wine list, appropriate stemware, and garnishes.
Follow all procedures as outlined in the employee and bartender manuals, including proper use of jiggers and POS systems.
Keep the bar stocked, clean, and follow side work directives.
Plan, monitor, and maintain par levels for bar inventory; prepare daily orders as needed.
Be knowledgeable of the menu for guests ordering at the bar.
Ensure consistency in cocktail presentation and recipes.
Utilize suggestive up-selling techniques during service.
Enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.
Handle cash and bank procedures according to Accounting Department guidelines.
Be familiar with property amenities and other restaurants.
Maintain cleanliness and a professional appearance of the bar and uniform.
Deliver high standards of service and maintain effective communication across departments.

Additional Duties:

Respond promptly to tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.
Greet members and guests as they enter the restaurant or bar area.
Deliver beverages and cocktails to tables as needed.
Assist in other food and beverage functions as required.
Uphold the brand, culture, vision, mission, and values of Garden of the Gods Resort and Club.
Address guest feedback professionally and comply with company policies and safety guidelines.

Position Requirements:

Two to three years bartending experience.
Extensive knowledge of liquor, beer, wine, and mixology.
At least one year of restaurant experience, preferably in fine dining or a high-end resort.
Pleasant and helpful personality.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid State of Colorado (or equivalent) Safe-Serve Certification or TIPS Bar Certificate.

Work Environment:

Primarily indoor work with overhead lighting and comfortable ventilation.
May occasionally work outside in various weather conditions.
Frequent sitting, walking on uneven surfaces, bending, crouching, reaching, and lifting up to 70 lbs.
Use of motorized equipment and working near machinery possible.
