Job Description
We're Scissors & Scotch (scissors as in hair, scotch as in booze) and we are looking for a passionate Customer Service Associate (Lounger) to join our team. This role combines bartending (low volume) and barber shop reception duties.
Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
- Maintain an efficient schedule to maximize each day for barbers and stylists.
- Notify grooming staff when clients arrive.
- Check out clients after their appointments.
- Prepare and serve our signature drinks in the lounge (TABC certification required).
- Communicate with grooming staff regarding client issues and alert leadership if necessary.
- Monitor appointment timeliness and adjust the schedule to keep operations on track.
- Greet clients warmly, offer drinks, answer questions, and foster a fun, welcoming environment.
- Run the bar during non-peak times when a bartender is not scheduled.
- Create new client profiles and take detailed notes to personalize experiences.
- Handle phone calls, emails, membership questions, and product purchases.
- Maintain an extremely clean and tidy workspace.
Requirements:
- TABC certification to serve alcohol.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask including scheduling, client communication, and maintaining cleanliness.
Compensation:
- Starting pay of $17.00 per hour plus commission and tips.
