Title: Bartender - Oak Room

Location: Washington DC, 20007 Salary: $18.40 per hour

Ten Five Hospitality is launching a new restaurant and lounge concept in Georgetown. We seek dynamic, experienced professionals with a background in fine dining service and a passion for exceptional hospitality.

Open Interviews: Wednesday, July 29, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM The Oak Room, 1218 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20007

Position Summary: Bartenders are central to the guest experience, delivering warm, attentive hospitality and executing the beverage program with precision and consistency. Candidates must create a welcoming environment, maintain strong product knowledge, and work closely with the team to ensure smooth service in a fast-paced setting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using established recipes and presentation standards.
Greet and engage guests warmly and professionally.
Take orders, deliver beverages, and monitor guest satisfaction.
Perform all opening and closing bar duties.
Restock and maintain beverage par levels.
Maintain thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Answer menu questions, provide recommendations, and address dietary restrictions.
Ensure bar station cleanliness and maintenance.
Coordinate guest transfers from bar to dining room.
Adhere to cash handling and POS transaction procedures.
Verify guests' legal drinking age through ID checks.
Communicate effectively with the floor team regarding timing and special requests.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and move at a steady pace for extended periods.
Ability to lift trays and items up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
Capability to push/pull carts up to 250 lbs occasionally.
Regular bending, squatting, stooping, and stretching.
Manual dexterity for equipment and garnish preparation.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum two years’ experience in high-end restaurants or hotels.
Expertise in high-volume cocktail preparation.
Knowledge of food and wine pairing.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to multitask and focus on guest interaction.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Understanding of service sequence and coursing.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
