JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Bartender is responsible for taking food and beverage orders; promptly entering orders in proper sequence; serving food and beverages to guests at the bar and tables if required; coordinating with the kitchen to ensure timely service and quality; and providing excellent customer service at all times. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Take food and beverage orders, place and deliver orders, check back after delivery to ensure guest satisfaction, and respond to additional guest needs
Maintain bar and table appearance by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter, and providing napkins
Present checks for payment, process payments accurately, and provide change as needed
Stock and organize the bar as required
Ensure friendly and welcoming service at all times
Process payments via POS register system
Follow customer service, beverage, and cash handling policies and procedures
Keep assigned station clean; set up and take down station tables appropriately
Perform any other duties assigned by management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must meet the state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
At least 6 months of bartending or serving experience
Experience in a high-volume or fast-casual dining environment preferred
Must pass required state food safety certification
Reliable transportation required
Must pass pre-employment testing (drug test, background check, etc.)
Must have full availability for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

Ability to read, write, and speak English; multilingual abilities are a plus
Ability to understand, follow, and give written and oral instructions
Strong guest interaction skills; friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
Ability to work harmoniously with coworkers and guests
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uniform
Follow all company policies and procedures
Express genuine appreciation to guests
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs
Ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)
Ability to frequently immerse hands in water and mild chemicals
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including exposure to extreme temperatures
