Location: Holiday Inn Resort Pensacola Beach

We are looking for an energetic Cocktail Server committed to providing a high-quality dining experience to our guests. The Cocktail Server’s responsibilities include speaking with guests, taking drink and food orders, making recommendations, processing payments, and ensuring that guests’ needs are met and they have an excellent time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner while maintaining a positive demeanor.
Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving conflicts calmly.
Engage guests to create a positive experience.
Verify identification and age requirements of customers.
Recommend a variety of popular and creative cocktails; be familiar with different types of wine and beer.
Take guest orders, input them into the POS system, run food, bus tables, and help other servers as needed.
Make drink suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences.
Collect payments, process credit card transactions, and manage cash accurately using the POS system.
Monitor guests' meals and beverage orders to ensure optimal satisfaction.
Be vigilant for unsafe situations and prevent alcohol consumption by minors by checking IDs.
Maintain a friendly attitude and attend to all guests efficiently and promptly.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions.
Provide guests with information about facilities, attractions, and activities inside or outside the property.
Stay current with all hotel special events.
Project a professional manner emphasizing hospitality and guest service.
Handle guest complaints and resolve problems to the best of ability.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum one year of serving and customer service experience, preferably in hospitality.
Ability to interpret written, oral, or scheduled instructions.
Effective English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking) to interact with guests and team members.
Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
Ability to work with computers and operating software preferred.
Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
Must be a team player.
