Job Responsibilities:

Maintain knowledge of popular alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipes
Prepare mixers and garnishes before and during service
Set up bar area with necessary glassware and supplies (Mis en Place)
Clean and restock glassware throughout the shift
Greet guests politely and professionally according to Loews standards
Identify guest needs and suggestively upsell beverages to enhance the experience
Accurately record guest orders and enter them into the POS system
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to order
Monitor guests to prevent overindulgence and ensure safety
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area at all times
Prepare and present accurate guest charges
Handle payment collection and apply charges to guest accounts
Complete end-of-shift revenue reports and cash deposits
Inventory beverages and supplies, ordering replacements as needed
Perform closing duties and secure inventory and supplies
Perform other duties as assigned

General Duties:

Promote teamwork at all times
Report issues or unusual matters promptly
Maintain a polite, friendly, and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
Follow emergency procedures according to hotel standards
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures
Attend hotel meetings and training sessions
Maintain cleanliness and condition of equipment and work area
Follow hotel policies and participate in recycling initiatives
Stay updated on hotel information and comply with uniform and grooming standards

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale hotel or lounge
Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, glassware, and service techniques
Certification or ability to obtain training in Responsible Vendor requirements
Exceptional guest service skills
Basic computer and cash handling skills
Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
