Job Description
Title: Cocktail Server
Location: Q Casino + Resort, Dubuque, IA 52001
Position Type: Part-Time Salary: $9.00 per hour Shift: Swing Category: Restaurant - Food Service
Overview: The Cocktail Server is responsible for serving drinks to guests while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Reports to: Food & Beverage Supervisor
Work Schedule:
- Monday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Tuesday: Off
- Wednesday: Off
- Thursday: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Saturday: Off
- Sunday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and take drink orders
- Provide prompt and proper service
- Enter drink orders into the POS system
- Serve refills and monitor alcohol consumption
- Manage and balance personal money caddy during each shift
- Collect money from customers
- Clean coffee station and all work areas
- Run Micros reports and reconcile cash at shift end
- Comply with IRGC and Q Casino rules
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- No formal education required
- Six months prior waitstaff experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and alcoholic beverages
- Basic reading and writing skills
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
- Standing and walking for long periods
- Good communication and listening skills
Work Environment:
- Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks
- Exposure to cigarette smoke, cleaning solutions, and loud noises
