Overview: The Bartender is responsible for setting up the bar area, mixing drinks for guests and servers, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring quality service and guest satisfaction, and managing liquor inventory.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and colleagues.
Set up the bar according to hotel standards and serve guests promptly and efficiently.
Prepare beverages and cocktails following hotel mixing and presentation standards.
Serve all beverage requirements professionally and courteously.
Break down the bar after functions, storing liquor, supplies, and equipment properly.
Comply with all state liquor laws and hotel safety policies.
Be knowledgeable about hotel services and facilities.
Serve liquor responsibly to avoid issues with intoxicated guests.
Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents.
Be familiar with fire exits and fire extinguisher locations and operation.
Keep the bar and service areas clean and tidy during service.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior hotel or related experience is a plus.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for entire shifts.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with guests and staff.
Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns professionally.
Capable of multitasking and prioritizing duties to meet deadlines.
Maintain professional appearance, including proper uniform and nametag.
Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
Comply with hotel standards and policies.
Ability to identify and assist in solving problems promptly.
Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas.
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate initiative.
Flexible availability, including working long hours if necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
