Title: Bartender (Cantinero/a)

POSITION PURPOSE Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to all guests. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and perform related duties such as setup and general cleaning.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
Take beverage and food orders at the bar, describe menu items, and suggest products.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Conduct opening and closing inventory of spirits.
Ensure all liquor, beer, and wine are safely stored and secured.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, garnishes, etc.
Maintain cleanliness and working order of taps, coolers, blenders, and coffee makers.
Verify customer identification to confirm legal drinking age.
Prevent service of alcohol to minors and intoxicated persons.
Act as cashier when necessary, handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
Maintain cleanliness by disposing of waste, cleaning glassware, and wiping down surfaces.
Assist servers, bartenders, and barbacks as needed.
Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet.
Provide professional, courteous service with high-quality customer standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow all company safety and security policies.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work primarily indoors with moderate and controlled temperatures.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures (freezers at -10°F and kitchens at +110°F) for up to one hour.
Stand and move at a steady pace for up to four hours.
Maneuver in limited spaces and reach other hotel departments promptly.
Lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts/equipment up to 250 lbs.
Perform repetitive motions including grasping, typing, bending, climbing.
Use hearing, smelling, tasting, and visual abilities to ensure product quality and safety.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.
One to three years of high-volume bar experience.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required.
California RBS Certification.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems.
Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.

GROOMING Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to Azul Hospitality standards.

ATTENDANCE Regular attendance and punctuality according to company policies are essential. Flexibility to work varying schedules as required by hotel business needs. Compliance with company rules and participation in all required training sessions is mandatory.
