Job Description
Bartender Responsibilities:
The Bartender is responsible for ensuring compliance with age verification laws and delivering outstanding customer service to create a memorable experience. They will craft beverages tailored to customers’ preferences while maintaining a clean and well-organized bar. The Bartender reports directly to the General Manager.
Key Duties:
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and provide efficient food and beverage service.
- Ensure the bar and surrounding floor areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Wash and sanitize all glassware.
- Accurately track all beverages and handle cash transactions properly.
- Greet guests promptly and take drink and food orders.
- Offer menu recommendations to guests.
- Ensure accurate processing of guests’ orders and special requests.
- Wait on tables, taking orders and serving food and drinks efficiently.
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables after guests leave.
- Keep the dining area and floor clean, including wiping down surfaces and ensuring cleanliness of walkways and seating areas.
Experience and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods, up to 10 hours.
- Ability to cross-train and work in different departments.
- Ability to obtain a liquor license and complete required server training.
Hours: This is a full-time or part-time position with varying hours.
Salary: This is a non-exempt, hourly position.
