Title: Bartender

Summary: ASM Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Bartender at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage and the Food & Beverage Manager, the Bartender is responsible for delivering excellent guest service in accordance with ASM policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide skilled and capable service to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages following standard recipes.
Serve wine and draught or bottled beer.
Collect payment for drinks served and manage POS transactions accurately.
Arrange bottles and glasses attractively and garnish drinks as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area according to sanitation standards.
Verify inventory counts and restock bar supplies to ensure smooth operations.
Check customer identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
Balance cash receipts at the end of each event.
Follow all Louisiana State Alcohol regulations and company policies.
Maintain professional appearance and relationships with coworkers.

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions:

Part-time, on-call scheduling based on facility needs; no guaranteed weekly hours.
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Non-slip shoes required.

Qualifications:

Minimum age 18 years.
Ability to read signs and follow oral and written instructions.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must pass a background check including credit history and meet corporate requirements.
Ability to obtain an ABO Card and LATC Permit.
Non-slip shoes required.

Education and Experience:

At least one year of bartending experience in restaurants, convention centers, or arenas.
Experience in upscale dining preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
1-2 years' experience in high-volume settings preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Good oral communication and effective English reading and writing skills.
Knowledge of mixed drink recipes and preparation methods.
Excellent hospitality, guest relations, and etiquette skills.
Mature judgment and professionalism.
Basic mathematical skills.

Computer Skills:

Ability to operate cash registers and credit card machines.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand for long hours and move throughout the facility.
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds unaided.
Good manual dexterity and balance required.
