Job Description
Job Title: Barback
Location: Abingdon, MD
Position Overview: The Barback supports bartenders by ensuring the bar operates efficiently during service. This role includes stocking supplies, cleaning, maintaining the bar area, and assisting bartenders to enhance customer satisfaction and speed of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and replenish bar supplies such as ice, garnishes, glassware, and liquor.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Clean and sanitize bar tools, equipment, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Dispose of waste and keep the bar area clutter-free.
- Assist bartenders with drink preparation, including garnishing and mixing as directed.
- Deliver drinks and food orders to customers as needed.
- Help with opening and closing procedures, including setup and breakdown of the bar.
- Provide prompt and friendly customer service.
- Address customer inquiries or issues professionally and courteously.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Report safety hazards or equipment issues to management.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous bar or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Effective verbal communication and customer-oriented mindset.
Work Schedule:
