We are seeking a passionate Bar Manager to lead one of Ann Arbor's premier beverage programs. This role is more than management; it's an opportunity to shape the beverage offerings while serving as a visible leader on the restaurant floor. You will collaborate closely with the General Manager and leadership team to enhance the guest experience, mentor talented bartenders, and evolve Aventura's cocktail, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverage selection.

Responsibilities:

Lead management floor shifts and deliver exceptional hospitality during every service.
Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing bar team.
Create and implement seasonal cocktails and beverage features.
Manage inventory and ordering of liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Monitor beverage costs, inventory variance, and operational performance.
Build strong vendor relationships and source new products.
Ensure recipe consistency, beverage quality, and responsible alcohol service.
Partner with the leadership team to continuously improve guest experience and restaurant operations.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
Beverage program leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and responsible alcohol service.
Experience managing beverage inventory, ordering, cost controls, and vendor relationships.
Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
Comfortable using POS systems, scheduling software, inventory platforms, and basic reporting tools.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods while managing dining room, bar, and service operations.
Move throughout all restaurant areas including dining rooms, bars, service stations, storage, patios, and kitchen support.
Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Perform repetitive motions such as typing, writing, and handling glassware.
Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, cleaning chemicals, and crowded areas.
Safely navigate stairs, uneven surfaces, and tight spaces while maintaining awareness of guests and staff.
