Title: Bartender
Job Description: SSP America operates multiple restaurants at the Detroit Metropolitan International Airport. Our Bartenders engage with guests while serving hand-crafted beverages and delicious food. They stay current on trends in the alcoholic beverage industry and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests timely, courteously, and friendly.
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using recipes and portion control.
- Process orders and payments accurately at the point of sale.
- Handle cash transactions, verify charges, and manage vouchers.
- Maintain proper bar setup and stock.
- Prepare and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure quality.
- Adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations, especially concerning serving minors and intoxicated guests.
- Perform general cleaning tasks to meet health standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year bartending experience.
- Certification from a state, federal, or local training program.
- Valid food handler and alcoholic beverage server permits as required by law.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service.
- Proficient English verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
