Job Description

Position Title: Bartender @ Pine Knob

Pay Range: $6.00 to $6.00 per hour

Job Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars, requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests courteously and take/process drink orders.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes, practicing prudent portion control.
Check guests for proper identification.
Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained; demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record transactions, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
Lock up and store all beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash drops; secure bank.
Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards; keep work area clean and organized.
Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive bar display.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Ability to detect guest inebriation and verify proper identification according to laws.
Ability to maintain a clean work area and follow standard ingredient recipes.
