Title: Bartender (Cantinero/a)

POSITION PURPOSE Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient quality presentation of food and beverage service to all guests. Clean and set tables in the outlet and perform other food service related duties, including setup and general cleaning.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers for table delivery.
Take beverage and food orders at the bar; describe menu items and suggest products to customers.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits.
Ensure all liquor, beer, and wine products are stored safely and securely.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, washing, and preparing garnishes.
Ensure taps, coolers, blenders, and coffee makers are clean and functioning.
Verify customers' identification and confirm legal drinking age.
Refuse service to minors and intoxicated persons.
Act as cashier for servers when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area by disposing of waste, cleaning glassware, and wiping down surfaces.
Assist servers, bartenders, and barbacks as needed.
Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet.
Operate cash register, handle payments accurately, and follow all company service and cash handling policies.
Assist all guests professionally and courteously, adhering to high customer service standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow all company safety and security policies.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work primarily indoors in a moderate, climate-controlled environment.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures for up to one hour.
Stand and move continuously for up to four hours.
Maneuver in limited spaces and handle heavy lifting (up to 45 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 250 lbs).
Requires grasping, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and sustained visual and auditory acuity.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.
One to three years of high-volume bar experience.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required.
California RBS Certification.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS.
Excellent communication, leadership, and customer relations skills.
Detail oriented, organized, and self-driven.
Knowledge of table and bar service as well as spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.

Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with Azul Hospitality standards.
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
Must comply with all company rules and policies.
Schedules may vary to reflect business needs.
Attendance at training sessions and meetings is required.
