Title: Bartender (Cantinero/a)

Job Location: Cadillac House Lexington - Lexington, MI 48450 Position Type: Seasonal Job Shift: Any Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service

POSITION PURPOSE Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to all guests. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
Take beverage and food orders at the bar, describe menu items, and suggest products.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Conduct opening and closing inventory of spirits.
Ensure all liquor, beer, and wine products are stored safely and securely.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and preparing garnishes.
Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of taps, coolers, blenders, and coffee makers.
Verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age.
Refuse service to minors and intoxicated persons.
Operate the cash register, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
Keep the bar area clean by disposing of waste, cleaning glassware, and wiping down surfaces.
Assist servers, bartenders, and barbacks as needed.
Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet.
Provide professional and courteous customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow all company safety and security policies.
Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work primarily indoors with moderate temperature control.
Able to work in extreme temperatures (freezers and kitchens) for up to one hour.
Stand and move actively for up to four hours.
Maneuver in limited space and between hotel departments promptly.
Lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts up to 250 lbs.
Perform repetitive motions involving hands and wrists.
Use visual, hearing, smelling, and tasting abilities to ensure product quality and safety.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Leadership and excellent customer relations abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS.
Ability to handle customer conflicts with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
Knowledge of table and bar service as well as spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE

One to three years of high-volume bar experience required.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required.
California RBS Certification required.

GROOMING

Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to company standards.

ATTENDANCE

Regular attendance is essential. Irregular attendance or tardiness may lead to disciplinary action, including termination.
Compliance with all company safety, operational policies, scheduled trainings, and meetings is required.
Work schedule may vary based on hotel business needs.
