Title: Bartender

Location: Oakwood Country Club - Kansas City, MO 64137 Position Type: Part-Time Department: Food and Beverage Reports to: Food and Beverage Director

Education and Experience:

Minimum 12th-grade education.
At least one year of bartending experience.
Alcohol beverage certification required.
Must be of legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages.

Job Summary: Prepare, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes. Provide knowledgeable mixology service including food and wine pairings and proper wine presentation.

Responsibilities:

Inspect and stock the bar prior to opening; request additional supplies as needed.
Prepare garnishes, fruit mixes, and pre-mixed drinks.
Greet members and guests courteously.
Mix, prepare, and serve drinks to members, guests, and servers based on approved recipes.
Collect payments and manage cash handling responsibly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area and equipment.
Keep accurate records of liquor, beer, and wine stock.
Clean and secure the bar area according to closing procedures.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items to maintain safety and freshness.
Follow all federal, state, and club policies regarding alcoholic beverage service; refuse service when appropriate.
Serve drinks at lounge tables when necessary.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
Capability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment with repetitive motions.
