Title: Bartender

Reports to: Restaurant Manager / Manager on Duty Supervises: None Classification: Non-Exempt

Experience: Experience preferred but not required.

Job Summary: Prepare, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Requires knowledge of mixology, including food and wine pairings, and wine presentation and service.

Requirements:

Alcohol beverage and food safety certifications required.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
Ability to learn and operate Point of Sale (POS) system.
Skilled at slowing and refusing alcohol service when necessary.
Good organizational skills.
Knowledge of bar operations, club events, and daily functions.
Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
Capable of working independently or as part of a team for events of various sizes.
Comply with all state and local laws and club policies regarding alcohol service.
Knowledge and ability to perform required role during emergencies.
Physical ability to perform duties including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock and inspect the bar, completing pre-opening and pre-closing duties.
Prepare garnishes, fruit mixes, and pre-mixed drinks.
Greet members and guests; mix and serve drinks according to standard recipes.
Collect payments for cash bar.
Report complaints to management promptly.
Maintain cleanliness of bar area and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of liquor, beer, and wine inventory.
Properly store, label, date, and rotate food items to ensure safety.
Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
Follow all beverage and revenue control procedures.
Serve drinks to lounge patrons in absence of beverage server.
Perform closing duties and other assignments as requested.
Thank members and guests and invite them to return.

Licenses and Special Requirements:

Alcohol beverage certification.
Food safety certification.
Sexual Harassment Prevention training.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching.
Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
