Title: Bartender

Position Summary: As a Bartender, you are responsible for servicing guests by preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, serving a variety of food options, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar and kitchen areas.

Responsibilities:

Prepare beverages and food in accordance with service standards.
Ensure cleanliness of the dining, bar, and service areas.
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and make beverage and food recommendations.
Take guest orders using suggestive selling techniques and record orders in the point-of-sale system.
Handle payments following cash handling and credit policies.
Complete opening and closing duties, including inventory checks and reporting.
Set up bar stations with supplies, garnishes, and equipment.
Open wine and champagne bottles according to standards.
Retrieve food orders from the kitchen and monitor the bar back to ensure efficient service.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
Work collaboratively with co-workers and other departments to provide excellent guest service.
Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of beverages, recipes, glassware, garnishes, and state liquor laws.
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with limited supervision.
Physical ability to push, pull, bend, squat, lift up to 40 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and resolve problems using good judgment.
Commitment to safety procedures, including PPE use when required.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalence required.
Minimum one year of experience as a bartender or barback in a hotel or restaurant.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid TIPS and Food Safety certifications required.
Flexible availability to work scheduled shifts based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds frequently.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to hear, understand, and communicate clearly in person and via phone.
Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders.
