Overview: The Bartender is responsible for setting up the bar area, mixing drinks for guests and servers, maintaining service and cleanliness, ensuring guest satisfaction, and controlling liquor inventory.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Be attentive, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and colleagues.
Set up the bar according to hotel standards.
Prepare beverages and cocktails following hotel mixing and presentation guidelines.
Serve guests professionally and promptly.
Break down the bar after functions, storing liquor and supplies as per standards.
Follow all state liquor laws.
Know hotel services and facilities.
Adhere to hotel policies and safety rules.
Serve liquor responsibly to avoid issues with intoxicated guests.
Respond appropriately to guests’ problems, complaints, and accidents.
Be familiar with fire exit and extinguisher locations and operation.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the bar and service areas during shifts.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in hotel or related field is advantageous.
Ability to stand for entire shifts.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective listening and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Maintain regular attendance as scheduled.
Comply with all hotel operational and safety standards.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas.
Show initiative by anticipating guest and operational needs.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
