Title: BARTENDER (SEASONAL)

We are hiring immediately for seasonal Bartender positions.

Location: Rutgers University - 1 Scarlet Knight Way, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Seasonal schedule; days and hours may vary. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirement: Prior bartending experience is required; experience working in an athletic stadium environment is a plus.

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour.

Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.

Job Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars; requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock and prepare fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure quality.
Greet guests courteously.
Take and process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and practice portion control.
Verify guest identification.
Detect and respond appropriately to guest intoxication.
Handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
Lock up and store all beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash.
Perform cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards.
Arrange bottles and glasses for attractive bar displays.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
