About the Role
Bartenders prepare and serve beverages and food to local customers and hotel guests. With extensive knowledge of common drinks, cocktails, beers, and wines, you will be responsible for managing drink orders at our hotel restaurant-lounge. Bartender-servers earn excellent tips in our high-energy lounge. Live Jazz is offered every Friday and Saturday night.
Essential Duties:
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes and company proportions.
- Serve alcohol responsibly, request identification, and adhere to all company alcohol service policies.
- Serve food at the bar and dining room for customers and hotel guests.
- Enter drink and food orders into the POS system, collect payments, and provide correct change.
- Complete sales and inventory reports accurately.
- Maintain bar stock by ordering liquors, beverages, condiments, and supplies.
- Clean and store bar equipment and stock.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift stock up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Minimum one year experience as a bartender-server in a high-volume bar or restaurant; hotel experience preferred.
- Formal bartender education preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Experience with POS systems required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
