Title: Suites Bartender

Position Title: Suites Bartender (Group Sales, Suites, Catering) Location: UNM - University of New Mexico Employment Status: Part-Time Pay Range: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour

Job Summary: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a friendly and timely manner in the bar area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Comply with state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations, including checking IDs and handling intoxicated guests responsibly.
Set up assigned bars and manage inventory: requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests courteously and process drink orders, mixing and garnishing drinks according to standard recipes and portion control.
Handle cash transactions accurately, verify charges, and process vouchers.
Secure all beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash at closing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area according to health and safety standards.
Arrange bottles and glasses attractively in the bar area.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Ability to adhere to liquor regulations regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests.
Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain professional hospitality standards.
