Title: Bartender

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve drinks following proper bartending techniques and recipes.
Assemble drinks in the required glassware and present them to guests.
Ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work area.
Provide excellent service inspired by Lawry’s standards, including guest interaction, suggestive selling techniques, and professionalism.
Manage all cash and credit transactions accurately; verify bar bank funds at the beginning of shifts and perform blind checkouts with management.
Maintain a fully stocked bar with garnishes, beverages, and supplies.
Greet and accommodate guests’ individual needs alongside dining room servers.
Monitor guest behavior to prevent overconsumption and practice responsible beverage service.
Follow all state liquor laws and company policies, including proper ID checks and ensuring no one under 21 is served.
Collaborate effectively with co-workers, management, vendors, and suppliers.
Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, wines, cocktails, and beverage pairings to assist guests.
Use POS and related computer systems proficiently.
Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of one year bartending experience in a high-end dining establishment.
Knowledge of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, and proper beverage handling.
Current local/state Food Handler’s and Alcohol Beverage Service certifications.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and math skills; ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
Legal age to serve alcohol.
Basic computer skills, including POS systems.
High school diploma or GED preferred; culinary education is beneficial.
