Location: Hyatt Regency Times Square, located in the heart of Times Square on Broadway between 48th and 49th Streets. This iconic, modern, full-service hotel features 795 newly renovated guestrooms, surrounded by Broadway theaters and near world-famous shopping and sightseeing.

Overview: The Bartender is primarily responsible for guest satisfaction by providing excellent service at the bar. Key duties include preparing and serving drinks and food, maintaining a clean and orderly bar environment, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all safety and liquor regulations.

Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively and courteously with guests, managers, and colleagues.
Set up and close the bar area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
Mix and serve beverages and cocktails following standard recipes and portion controls.
Prepare and serve hot drinks such as tea, coffee, espresso, cappuccino, and matcha.
Process guests’ payments including cash, credit cards, and room charges.
Maintain beverage inventory using proper requisition and storage procedures.
Follow all state liquor laws and practice TIPS alcohol service standards.
Monitor guest intoxication and report issues to management when necessary.
Stock and polish glassware, prepare garnishes, and ensure lounge areas are clean and stocked.
Operate POS systems for cashiering functions.
Assist in maintaining beverage cost controls using measuring tools.
Serve food orders from the kitchen and maintain a neat bar area throughout service.
Remove and replace dish bins quietly and keep the bar area tidy.
Deliver to-go food and beverage orders as required.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Maintain a professional appearance and comply with company standards.
Be familiar with fire extinguisher locations and usage.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages according to local laws.
Valid TIPS (or equivalent) alcohol service certification required.
Previous bartending experience preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.
