Job Overview: As the friendly face of our hotel bars, you will serve as a helpful host, local expert, and brand ambassador. You will prepare drinks and serve food with dedication to creating relaxing and memorable experiences for our guests.
Qualifications:
- Able to stand for most of the day and perform tasks requiring bending and kneeling
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledgeable in preparing a wide variety of drinks; formal bartending training preferred
- Must meet local legal requirements for serving alcohol and be fluent in the local language
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, welcoming demeanor
Essential Job Functions:
- Create a welcoming atmosphere and set a positive tone for guests
- Prepare and serve drinks to high standards; promote specials to guests
- Collaborate with restaurant staff for seamless food and drink service
- Stock and manage bar inventory; ensure all equipment is functional
- Maintain cleanliness and security of the bar area
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Follow all safety and hygiene procedures
- Stay creative and up to date with industry trends and drink specials
- Recommend drink and food pairings based on knowledge of alcohol, wine, and beer
- Maintain cleanliness of dining and bar areas, including wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing menus, clearing dishes, and removing spills while serving customers
