Job Overview: As the friendly face of our hotel bars, you will act as a helpful host, local expert, and brand ambassador. Your focus will be on preparing drinks according to guest preferences and serving delicious food while creating relaxing and memorable experiences.
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand for most of the day with frequent bending and kneeling
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Knowledgeable in preparing a wide range of drinks; formal bartending training preferred
- Compliance with local laws regarding food handling and alcohol service; must be above minimum legal age and fluent in the local language
- Excellent communication skills; warm, welcoming, and approachable personality
Essential Job Functions:
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests
- Prepare and serve drinks to high standards and promote specials
- Collaborate with restaurant staff for seamless food and drink service
- Set up and manage bar inventory and ensure equipment functionality
- Maintain cleanliness and security of the bar area
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Follow all safety procedures
- Stay creative and informed on industry trends and drink specials
- Recommend alcohol, wine, and beer pairings with food
- Maintain cleanliness throughout dining and bar areas including tables, chairs, counters, floors, menus, and spills while serving customers
