Title: Bartender

Job Summary: As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. You will deliver exceptional service aligned with club standards, ensure beverage control and accurate pouring, and consistently enhance the member and guest experience through the 3-steps of service.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Beverage, Director of Restaurants, or Director of Banquets.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high standards of service as outlined in the Food & Beverage training program.
Assist with food and beverage service at the bar.
Greet members by name and provide a warm, personalized experience.
Execute member and guest orders accurately and promptly.
Address and resolve complaints professionally, notifying management when necessary.
Prepare the bar for service, ensuring it is fully stocked with bottles, garnishes, glassware, and ice.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including regular sanitizing.
Complete daily assignments and side work to meet club standards.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the a la carte menu, daily features, and specials.
Manage liquor inventory accurately to maintain beverage control.
Support the team and contribute to a positive work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Additional Duties:

Assist other departments as needed.
Follow all company and club policies and procedures.
Maintain professionalism and commitment to excellence.
Adhere to safety guidelines and promote safe working practices.
Pursue personal and professional growth and maintain required certifications.
Address operational challenges in coordination with regional and corporate teams.
Attend daily briefings and actively engage with the team.
Maintain a clean and neat uniform that meets club standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification in alcohol and food safety awareness.
Previous experience in food and beverage service.
Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Strong ethical work standards.
Comfortable working indoors and occasionally outdoors.
Basic knowledge of bar operations and wine, including cocktails and wine varietals.
Ability to properly open a bottle of wine with the appropriate tool.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying temperatures with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
Effective communication skills including talking, hearing, and visual acuity.

Work Schedule:

Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule.
Additional hours may be required to meet position deadlines, including weekends and holidays.
